About the Journal

Estudios Rurales is a publication of the Center for Rural Studies of the National University of Quilmes (CEAR-UNQ), aiming to encompass various types of collaborations related to the study of rural issues. The sections are designed to allow a wide range of contributions, with diverse objectives and nature. The characteristics of each section enable us to offer readers a broad range of thematic possibilities and, at the same time, provide a space for the scientific community to channel its production. Rural Studies has a continuous edition with a biannual frequency (January-June and July-December of each year). It publishes original research articles, essays, and reviews of books published in the last three years. Works in Spanish, Portuguese, and English are accepted.

All articles are anonymously evaluated by two specialists who are not members of the journal's editorial committee.

External authorship is a central feature of this journal. Works by researchers from around the world are included. Each year, at least 80% of the articles come from contributors outside the publishing institution (Center for Rural Studies of the National University of Quilmes) and the Editorial Committee.
