The present interview took place at the Morón Morales winery during the month of January 2024, as part of the field work for the doctoral thesis titled "Reproduction of socio-environmental inequality, neoliberal policies and water scarcity: the case of Ica, Peru between 1990 and 2019", belonging to the Doctorate program in Territorial Studies of the National University of Quilmes.
The winery is located in the district of Los Aquijes, province of Ica, Peru, and is run by the four Morón Anchante brothers: Nivardo, Christian, Julissa and Rosario. With a history dating back to 1824, the winery is a family legacy that treasures a valuable tradition in regional viticulture, especially in the production of pisco and wine.
During the interview, various topics were addressed, including the organizational structure of the winery, changes and memories in the territory, the relationship with other stakeholders in the sector, the importance of viticulture and tradition, as well as problems related to access to water.
