PANORAMA SOCIOAMBIENTAL DO SISTEMA AGRÁRIO DA COMUNIDADE GATOS EM IBIRAPITANGA, BAHIA, BRASIL

Abstract

This article has as main objective to present a brief socioenvironmental panorama of the agrarian system of the Cats community, located in the municipality of Ibirapitanga, Bahia, Brazil. As a methodology, secondary socioeconomic and environmental data were collected from the city of Ibirapitanga, data and information about the municipalities covered by the Pratigi APA, data surveys and in loco observations in the Cats community, and the interpretation of orbital sensor images. Among the results obtained, it was observed that, although inserted within an Environmental Protection Area, the aforementioned agrarian system presents significant fragilities that range from environmental issues, to issues of economic-productive and social order.
