The book reviewed analyzes, from a transnational perspective, the process of colonization and integration of peripheral areas to the Argentine nation through protected areas, especially the Nahuel Huapi and Iguazu national parks. Through the approach of exchange of ideas, professionals, artifacts and biotas around the design and execution of the parks, the author demonstrates that the foreign influence would not be limited to the US model. Based on this, the author identifies different colonization strategies applied to the construction of protected areas.
