Abstract

This study addresses the singularities of the work carried out by women in rural and agrarian contexts in the province of Mendoza from a perspective that crosses contributions from gender, social, agrarian and migratory studies. Linardelli, Pessolano, and Agüero focus on the recent history of a regional economy historically characterized by the work of hundreds of women, whose contributions have not been valued or systematized by statistics, public policies, and sociohistorical studies. From the introduction of the feminist perspective and the gender perspective, the authors give an account of hidden features by other studies of the Mendoza economy, as well as in relation to territorial inequalities.
