DESIGUALDADES INSTITUIDAS. GÉNERO Y RURALIDADES EN LA ARGENTINA (S.XX-XXI)

Abstract

The aim of this article is to describe and analyze the ways in which gender inequality is expressed in the formulation of public policies for rural women historically. This investigation is focused in a critical review of the various initiatives carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Nation (1915-1946: Hogar agrícola), by the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (1956-1980: Hogar Rural) and finally, those developed by the Unit for Rural Change (2009-2014: Regional Gender-MERCOSUR Program). Performing a comparative balance of the state proposals and their conjugation with the gender and development models within agricultural policies for a hundred years is the main objective of this study.
