POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS Y APICULTURA. ESTUDIO DE CASO EN ALGARROBO DEL ÁGUILA (ARGENTINA)

Abstract

In Algarrobo del Águila, a village in the west of La Pampa (Argentina), apiculture was encouraged by the implementation of public policies. Within this framework, we seek to analyse the relationship between public policies and the apiculture programme implemented in the locality, which resulted in the creation of a beekeeping association, that was then turned into a cooperative. Furthermore, we pretend to identify which were the elements that hindered the development of the activity and the main difficulties that were raised by the association/cooperative. Using a qualitative methodology and the combination of different sources, we seek to approach the associative experience and the policies that fostered its development between 2001 and 2019.
