Abstract

The text is a review of the book Women of the Earth, which is a publication of the International Center for the Promotion of Human Rights of UNESCO where the work carried out in a cycle of exchanges between women from Latin America and the Caribbean is recovered and systematized. and Africa, which took place throughout 2021 and 2022, in person, virtual and hybrid.

The text is organized in two large parts. In the first, titled: “Experiences that speak”, there are works that collect testimonies organized under five topics that express, in first person, experiences of territorial struggles led by women, conquests of rights in different contexts, advances and setbacks in this area. of public policies, new forms of community communication and networks built from women's organizations.

In the second part, “About rural women in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa” there are works that analyze and reflect on policies, their impacts and the tools available by academic leaders in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa.
