Abstract

In this paper we propose to analyze the actions of the vineyard contractors in Mendoza during the rural conflicts that took place between 1918 and 1922. Inquiring into the role of these contrasts implies clarifying their relationship with the means of production and the nature of the link with other social sectors. This requires an approach that integrates the economic, political, social and ideological aspects, threading it in the same development of the class struggle.  We will study the contractor from its constitution, both analyzing its place in production (class in itself), as well as its perspective and collective constitution in relation to its existence (class for itself).
