Abstract

The reviewed work deals with the impact of the development of capitalism on the trajectories of rural youth in different parts of the globe. In this sense, the author maintains that this process called "agrarian change" not only presents class and gender dimensions, but also has a generational correlate. One of the biggest problems of rural configurations worldwide, such as rural depopulation, has one of its main axes in youth emigration. Despite this, one of the key points of this book is the counterpoint it presents to his supposed aversion in relation to the agriculture.
