After the so called “conquest of the desert”, the white society expansion over new territories has led a strong appropriation of the land which historiography has repeatedly testified. This work aims to evaluate individually the capital invested during that appropriation and the using of the appropriated land, after about fifteen years of the mentioned invasion. For such exploration, work has been done with the departments of Adolfo Alsina and Guaminí, and using the National Economic Census of 1895, and their capital has been valued, and their activities have been investigated. Likewise, the distribution of the capital has been studied, verifying that the allocation, and its subsequent development, has caused extreme inequality among its inhabitants, such as the entire province, or more.
