Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze, from critical geography paradigm, the reproduction strategies of family farmers and rural workers within the framework of the process of consolidation and advancement of agribusiness in the Department of Iguazú (Misiones) and in Junín (Buenos Aires). From two ethnographic investigations we analyze how territorial inequality produced by agribusiness in the different territories is expressed. Although in each case the consequences of the advance of agribusiness acquire specific characteristics, we conclude that the territorial displacement, dispossession and cornering of populations produce similar practices in both territories such as moonlighting, social networks and solidarity ties which ultimately allow for social reproduction.
